Biden and Michelle

By , August 26, 2008 7:52 am

A while back, I blogged that Obama would pick Jim Webb as his VP candidate. Clearly I was wrong on that one – or rather my source was. Thanks a lot you-know-who!.

But I’m right about every other post I’ve made.

Biden is a sensible pick with plenty of experience though maybe lacking a certain… I don’t know what … je ne sais quoi. :)

Michelle Obama gave a solid speech at the convention last night though I think the delivery was better than the content. She came off as strong, smart, and confident. Michelle, of course, is getting some of the same attack treatment that Obama is getting and judging by this speech, she’s not going to slink into the shadows any time soon.

Is the Obama/Biden ticket the change that Kerzner and Wolman are hoping for? Be very careful of who you support, if you don’t want a casino or bingo hall in Middleboro. Please comment.

I think either ticket is a loser for Kerzner.

McCain has shown reluctance for Indian gaming in the past but I really think Obama is the big bad casino killer.

Despite the hopeful delusions of the pro-casino crowd, nobody in state government wants an Indian casino. Why would they when they pay so little in comparison to a commercial casino? I think the actions of the legislature and the governor are pretty clear on this. Obama and Patrick are very close so I don’t see the Mashpee Wampanoag getting any free rides on Obama’s watch.

I really think that pro-casino people need to wake up w/regards to Massachusetts’ stance on Indian casinos. I see no indication whatsoever that anyone at the state level has any interest in one. If I were the Mashpee, I would start advertising that they will agree to all local, state, and federal fees, regulations, and taxes on their casino. Then all state resistance will decrease dramatically.

Good point Mark, I just think you have to be an evil person to be involved in politics in general. I don’t trust them. I know that Mcain accepted the “least” in contributions from casino types. I think it was in the tens of thousands. Hillary and Barack accepted some big money compared to Mcain. Barack has mentioned Native Americans in his speeches, is he speaking of mid west poverty stricken types or eastern U.S. everyday working stiff types?

The best shot at an Indian casino would be through an Obama Administration. The NRA has given the Obama / Biden ticket an “F” rating. Anyone thinking this not important, think again. As an Independent, This ticket is just to liberal for my vote.
