From Wicked Local:

It’s a hot topic, and one sure to bring out a vast array of opinions. The Southeastern Massachusetts Regional Task Force on Casino Impacts will hold its monthly meeting at the Carver High School auditorium at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan 15.

The task force meets monthly to discuss the proposed casino in Middleborough and its potential impacts on surrounding communities.

The meeting wasn’t the same without you!
And, FYI, Nancy Yeatts didn’t have a gavel and actually allowed the audience to speak and ask questions and raise issues without a time limit. A respectful discussion went on without the rancor that Middleboro creates.
The Gavel Queen needs to attend those meetings. Oh, wait! No, she doesn’t. She’d disrupt the meeting because she couldn’t tolerate people who disagree doing so respectfully.

It was an interesting meeting that Chris Walgreen attended and will surely write about. After attending so many meetings in M’boro, it was a breath of fresh air to hear people who disagree discussing the issues and treating each other respectfully.
The next meeting won’t be until April since they will be breaking up into groups to do committee research on impacts of the proposed casino to assign values. Great group!
