Everything you ever wanted to know …

By , April 8, 2009 10:35 pm

Interesting offer from Adam Bond – chief negotiator of the Middleboro/Mashpee IGA, former chairman of the Middleboro BOS, and all-around casino poster boy.

Twenty people ask twenty questions about the casino issues (e.g., who first had the idea, what happened between the first and second deal, etc…), and I will do my best to answer the question fully, say I don’t know, or decline to answer. The first twenty questions placed on the blog will get answered IN WRITING on this blog.

Did I just hear a collective *gasp* come from downtown Middleboro?

Ask away.

This mans ego knows no bounds. I would post on his site but it doesn’t get posted unless you agree with his position.

Where was all this talk when he was the point person? This is Monday morning quarterbacking, by the starting quarterback.

An opportunist. The ultimate braying mule.

What did you want to renegotiate in the current casino agreement? If the investors told you to go shit in a hat, would you still support the deal?
Will you support more changes in the BOS in the future? (of course the last one’s casino related, it woke up the dragon) Thanks.

I refuse to believe that Adam’s ego is bigger than mine. I will not settle for having the 2nd biggest ego in Middleboro. My ego is bigger and better.

Have you posted questions that weren’t published? Give him a day or 2 to publish it and then post ‘em here.

  4. Bellicose Bumpkin says:

Anon: It’s OK to post the questions here – but post them on Adam’s site as well. He’s not answering questions posted on my blog.

  5. Smoking Owl says:

I asked a question on Adam’s blog. The only other one that had been posted (and answered) was a question from Bumpkin.

Folks, this is an opportunity to ask Adam anything you ever wanted to know about the casino debacle.

    Don’t pass it up.

    Where to begin?

Sorry! But my IP address is publicly displayed. Won’t go there!

  8. Bellicose Bumpkin says:

Publicly displayed …. where? I don’t see anything.

    Bumpkin,

Maybe your first question should have been about why Adam supported both VV and IA and provided information and promoted the venomus attacks.

  10. Bellicose Bumpkin says:

    RE VV and IA:

Because I don’t really care. You should ask that question.

I’m more interested in the mechanics of the casino, how it came to be, what were the inner workings, and so on.

We all made mistakes in how we handled things – at least I did. I’m not going to dwell on who supported, or failed to support whom.

People who don’t like GK, CC, or MR try to lay that shit on me for linking to them. The FM’s have disowned Adam for playing nice with me because in their eyes I’m evil. This sort of 2nd and 3rd generation animosity is going down a road that has no end.

I’m not going down it. Actually, I’ve been down it, turned around, and have taken the other fork in the road.

  11. Bellicose Bumpkin says:

    And another thing.

If IA/VV came up to me, admitted who they were, expressed some regret, offered some explanation, or expressed a desire to bury the past and move one….. I would accept it and move on. The same goes for anyone involved in any fashion.

Wait a minute- are you trying to claim that you are not pure EVIL?

  13. Anonymous says:

I know it’s Easter, Bumpkin, but to embrace the concept of a sudden re-birth of a savior who create, feed, encouraged and perpetuated the venom of VV and IA deserves some acknowledgement and explanation.

Were it not for feelings of being unloved and no longer admired, you would again find yourself “shunned.”

I’m not embracing anything – I’m letting go of the past. If someone wants to take Adam(or anyone else) to task for the sins of VV and IA – go right ahead. It’s not a battle that I’m interested in fighting for you.

Were it not for feelings of being unloved and no longer admired, you would again find yourself “shunned.”

I don’t understand this sentence. I’m hated by some, loved by some, tolerated by some, and ignored by some. I’ll gladly respond to it – I just don’t understand it.

I will say that there are many who don’t like my willingness to work with, talk with, and deal with pro-casino people – and I’ve lost some friends over it. I do what is right for me and there’s nothing I can do about what others think.
